The Ishpeming playgrounds offer an assortment of equipment to meet all sporting and fan needs. The main feature of the playgrounds is the Ishpeming football field. The new additions to the parking lot allow for plenty of room for avid Hematite fans. Throughout the Fall one fans can come watch as the Hematites play for another playoff spot. This field has seen many good games as the Hematites have made the playoffs 9 out of the last 10 years.

Track
The newly laid-down track around the field provides for more room for fans, as well as a great track for track and field. This is an improvement over the old track, which was cracking and getting old. The new track allows for better home meets and has a nicer look. The school hosted a few meets since this new track was put in and many agree it was an improvement.

Basketball Courts
The playgrounds also features two basketball courts right next to the stands of the football field. This provides an excellent opportunity for people to play basketball during the summer. There is usually a lot of good competition here as many people choose to go here.

Tennis Courts
This playground is good for sports all year around and also features six tennis courts. These courts make for a lot of fun and great competition during the high school tennis season. Last year Ishpeming hosted the MPC's and they were a great success at these courts. The two courts up above the rest usually for the #1 seeds to play on.
